Take Your Dog to Lunch
K9 Summit Logo

When was the last time you took your furry friend to lunch? Some might say, "September 19, 1998," because that's when they took their dog to the "K-9 Summit at The Fort," a benefit for the Denver Dumb Friends League. If you and your dog didn't attend this fun event last year, or if you did, we have good news: We're doing it again!

Thanks to the generosity of Sam Arnold, owner of The Fort Restaurant in Morrison, the second K-9 Summit at The Fort will be on Saturday, Aug. 28, 1999. Modeled after the "Summit of the Eight," Sam Arnold invites the "top dogs" in town and their people to dine at his establishment. A $75 ticket will provide lunch for you and your dog, a photograph of the two of you, and a special gift. A buffet-style lunch for humans and a choice of doggie "stew" or regular dog food will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

"Poquita," "Annie," and "Louise" were among the many dogs whose owners brought them to this special luncheon last year. With the next one just around the corner, these well-loved pooches are already looking forward to August 28 and invite you to join them! For more information about this one-of-a-kind event, please call 303-696-4941, Ext. 379.

All of the canines that attended this special event last year had a tail-wagging time!
