Hi Everyone: Can you believe we are about to end the first month of 2005?! Time just flies by.
We have some awesome classes coming up and hope you can participate in some of them. It is important that you call me and let me know as soon as possible if you have interest in any of the classes because they are filling up fast and they are on a first come, first paid basis. For those of you that get this message by email, I will try to attach the February and March calendars. For those that get this by snail mail and want a copy of the calendar, you can call me or drop in the shop to get one.
This Sunday, January 30, 2005, Susie Peschke will be teaching a beautiful underglaze shading design of a Dove in the shape of a heart. There is little time to sign up for this one so please let me know asap if you want to attend and do this great Valentines Day project.
The Doc Holiday Molds Open House is scheduled for Sunday, February 20th. We are having something special along with the Open House to see the new molds, etc. and that is Arlene Deno teaching a beautiful underglaze/dimensional glaze Easter plate. The class will count towards the Doc Holiday Certification classes. If you order and pay a 50% deposit on the molds you order, you will get a 40% discount; there will be a 30% discount for molds purchased at the time of the Open House. For those of you that need MORE Doc Holiday molds, you can get a 50% discount if you purchase $500.00 net of molds. All preorders must be received by February 15th .
I am also taking preorders for Made-In-Fire, TNT, CREST and Doc Holiday Molds for the Mesquite Ceramic Show that will be April 22nd, 23rd and 24th. You will receive a 40% discount on all prepaid orders that I will pick up at the show. The regular discount for molds is 30% plus shipping, so this is a great time to get the molds if you need them.
I am really excited to announce that we will be hosting the NEW Duncan Essentials 1 through 4 classes to be taught by Tracy Hughes starting with Essentials #1 on March 19. The remaining classes will be taught one every month: April, May and June to complete this Certification program. I highly recommend taking this course to sharpen your skills if you have been in ceramics a long time or to REALLY know what your doing if you are fairly new to the hobby. Be sure to sign up early because I have limited space and will not over crowd this class, so it is limited to 12 students.
My friend John Duncan will be teaching his own version of a beautiful Sunflower David Hoff design on a bowl and teapot Sunday, January 27th. We are calling this one “Tea & Crackers” . Call now to sign up!
We are still working on the dates for Kala Brushes workshop and will keep you informed.
I am very excited to tell you that Connie Bailes will be here again the last week in April and will be teaching lace draping, hand building and NEW: Victory Spanish Oils on porcelain. The Victory Spanish Colors are new to our shop and Connie is offering this class FREE!!! The only thing you will need to purchase is the porcelain greenware that I will have available very soon. Be sure to sign up soon for this one because I’m sure it will fill up fast.
I am teaching classes on painting eyes, airbrushing, hand building, lace draping, pen & ink, brush strokes and lots more everyday. Call and sign up for the time and project you want to learn. Don’t forget we have glass glazing available now too. Come create with us!
