If you want readers you’ve got take advantage of some of the simplest design tips for websites
Use Negative Space – If you’re not already, really take advantage of negative space on your website. That’s not to say your pages should be sparse but don’t feel the need to cram too much in. A more basic, homogenous page is sometimes all you need to inspire confidence.
No Pop Ups – We get it. Ads are a great money maker but don’t let them detract from your message. Eliminate pop up ads from all your pages and if you’re thinking of putting up some type of pop up message of your owndon’t.
Make Your Links Better – There’s nothing worse than a link that’s 1,200 characters long and totally un-followable. Simplify your links and name them things that make sense so people can pass them on and so you can better organize your site.

From the standpoint of a web designer, cat’s cradle can be utilized as a model from which to create a digestible interface while concealing a complex structure underneath. Hypertext can be illustrated in models of manifold geometric complexity which utilize a web of interconnected “cards” to create something greater than the sum of its parts. A Cat’s cradle refers to a game played by a single player with no more than their hands and a piece of yarn or string which has had its ends tied together to form a loop. The string is then manipulated to form patterns which have distinctive forms. Consider the value of interconnection in your webdesign, using the model of the cat’s cradle to achieve a more fluid design, in which the elements of the site are both connected to the other relevant sections, as well as coming together to form a more cohesive element. Within the user interface, an overlay of order, connecting the segments of the work into an ingeniously configured pattern is a good end-goal. The cat’s cradle model can provide an excellent example of non-linear connection between parts of the site, and offers the user an experience likely to be appreciated.

Playing cat’s cradle brings us back to a time gone by. There were no cell phones, video games, and MTV was not on the air yet. In the good ole days of the 1970′s and 1960′s children had to use their imaginations and engage in play that did not require electrical outlets and joysticks.

Cat’s Cradle was one of the games that were played back in the good old days. It simply required a string and a little bit of time on the part of the participants. The first thing that will be needed is two people and a string. The loop of string should be long enough in order to go all the way around the person’s hands and lop around the middle of each hand once.

The individual then takes the middle finger on each hand and threads it through the loops. Pulling it taut, the individual will then have a cat’s cradle formed with the string. The second person pinches the X that is formed on either side of the string cradle and loops it out and up through the string on the first person’s hand. Each time the string goes from one person to the next, there will be an X formation. Simply pinch the X formation with two fingers from each hand and move through the different progressions of the cat’s cradle.

Just like in the game cat’s cradle, the timing, the perfection, and the right moves and strategy will ensure that you are able to play the perfect game. Similarly, when developing your website, the right tools, strategy, and the proper implementation of those tools, is going to ensure that you can develop the perfect website design style, and format. So, rather than just quickly throw together a site, you want to make sure that you take the time, the expertise, and the right tools and implement them together, in order to get a site which all users are going to be able to follow.

An intricate site on the inside, from the developer’s perspective, should make for the easiest useability by users, as well as by all visitors to the site. Making sure the site is properly designed, and that the web hosts use the proper implementation to keep the site up to date, is essential for users to be able to properly use the site, and to easily be able to navigate through the site. So, as a developer, although the site may be intricate to develop and build, it should be easy to use by the end users.

Have you ever played cat’s cradle? It’s a simple yet intricate game, resulting in thousands of patterns. One single piece of string can create a myriad of images and ideas.

What does this have to do with web site design? Keep it simple. Too many people think a flashy, complex web site is the way to go. They end up with a home page with imbedded video, flashing logos and an overly vibrant color scheme. Or, worse, fall to the temptation to put their entire site in Flash.

In today’s world, complex web sites counterproductive. People are over-simulated and more and more are accessing the web from their phones or from small netbooks and tablets.I was looking for more information and found it here. Large and complex sites may not load on these devices, or may take so long to come up that the customer goes somewhere else. By making things too complicated, you turn your customers off.

At the same time, simple design techniques and basic coding can produce an intricate and elegant design that will cause people to stay on your web site. Simple but elegant and intricate is the watchword of good design, and we have plenty of tips to help you gain traffic and grow.

Cat Cradle is a game for two people , using a piece of string. The game is called Cat Cradle
because that is the first move made in the game. You and your partner will take turns passing the string to each other. The game will start with player one wrapping the string around their fingers and then taking one side and circling their hands again.

A sample first move might be the following

Take your finger and thumb and squeeze the parts that look like an X
Now make sure you don’t let go, your partner will move his hand apart, do this until the string becomes tight. Your partner should point down , and while your partner is doing this. Quickly grab the middle of the string and pull , but don’t pull to hard. While your partner is doing the final part , make sure that you do not let the Cat Cradle out of your hand.

The end result is that your partner now has a cat cradle in their hand. You will now
need to take the string from your partner. After the first move, their are a variety of moves you can make, including the manager and the “The Cat’s Eye”.

Cat’s cradle is a fun, simple game for players of all ages. It only takes a long piece of string tied at the ends into a circle to start playing. Two people can learn to play together for a quick game when waiting in line or on long car rides.

The best string to use is thick enough to get a good grip and smooth enough to glide easily. Make sure it is at least 5 feet long. It should not have any stretch in it, as it will need to remain taut.

When starting the cat’s cradle, it is important to avoid making a mistake that will mess up the whole game if not done correctly. The string should wrap around the backs of the hands, with the thumbs outside the circle. Then, wrap the strings around the middles of the hands by twisting the wrists. The middle fingers are now slipped beneath the string across each opposite hand. Avoid tangling the side strings. There should now be a formation that looks like two long x’s.

Your partner will now be able to make the next move, taking the string into his or her hands. Make slow, deliberate moves at first, then gradually speed up. The formations of the strings will repeat themselves and become easier and easier to work with.
